Starting now you can preview all the work for this year’s biennial Project Postcard Fundraiser at New Mexico State University. This is the third time they’ve hosted the fundraiser with artists from all over the States contributing work. All the work is – you guessed it – postcard size – 5×7 inches.
Here’s how it works:
You have a week to preview the work and decide on your favorites. None of the work is signed on the front so it’s all anonymous. It helps to make a list of the first 10-20 pieces you like.
You purchase an entry ticket for $40. Then the night of the event, October 29th from 5-7 pm, all the ticket numbers go in a bowl and when your ticket number is called you get to pick your favorite painting. (Unless of course someone has already chosen it. Then you pick your next favorite. That’s why the list helps since it saves you time.) It’s over when all the numbers are gone.
It’s loads of fun and raises money for a great cause – the sorely needed renovation of the D W Williams Art Building.
