Have you ever wondered how someone got a certain color in a painting, or tried mixing that color only to find you couldn’t get it? Each paint color has its personality.
I’m offering a course in practical color mixing on Saturday’s in March. We’ll explore color theory and specifically how it works for painters. You’ll learn about limited palettes and color harmony through practical exercises, studies and paintings. You’ll learn that not all paint is the same, how to read labels, why whites and blacks are not all equal, why red and blue don’t always make purple, and more. Come ready to create art, take notes, work hard, and have fun. For all skill levels.
