With no allusions to Donovan’s song, I called this Mellow Yellow because of how the color seemed to be in more of a minor key against the more neutral background. This cluster of blooms seems rather regal to me.

Really like these paintings–especially the student portraits. I’ve been meaning to do that–and orchids too!
